From our prestigious membership in the League for Innovation in the Community College to a recent award by a local business publication as the “Best Place to Work in Eastern Iowa,” Kirkwood has earned its spot among the leading two-year colleges in America.

Throughout our college we are also exploring new methods, better ways of serving our students and the community. Our college is among the first in the nation to adopt the Academic Quality Improvement Program, or AQIP. Our main campus covers 675 acres of Iowa countryside located near the intersection of I-380 and Highway 30 on the southern edge of Cedar Rapids.
